Theatre Is a Team Sport

"We named our company after the day actors and tech team finally lock in together — because a production is only as good as the entire team behind it."

Founded by Kody Ferreira with over 9 years of experience in the Ottawa Carleton District School Board, Cue to Cue Theatre Co. is an Ottawa-based youth production company built on professional standards, licensed Broadway material, and a genuine love of the stage.

Ontario Curriculum Aligned

  • B1.1 / A1.1 — The Creative Process: Students collaborate to unpack scripts, brainstorm staging solutions, and make intentional artistic choices.
  • B1.2 / A1.2 — Role & Character: Actors analyze motivations, relationships, and speech patterns to build multi-dimensional, authentic roles.
  • Performance Staging: Students use movement, pacing, and group blocking to establish focus and tension on a live stage.

Cast & Crue Programs

Whether your heart is in the spotlight or backstage pulling the strings, there's a place for you. Each session runs 25 Cast + 25 Crue for a 50-person powerhouse production.

🎭
Acting
Deep-dive into character work, storytelling, and high-energy choreography. Every actor has a vital role in a powerhouse ensemble — no one is just filling space.
🎨
Set Crue
Use "theatre magic" to turn everyday materials into a completely different time and place. Build massive scenery, master texture and paint, and create the whole vibe of the show.
🪄
Props Crue
If a character carries it, throws it, or eats it — you made it. Hand-craft one-of-a-kind pieces, master the art of aging, and engineer trick props that survive opening night chaos.
💡
Lighting & Sound
Control the mood of the entire room. Program cues on professional consoles, paint the stage with color and angles, and turn a blank floor into a dark forest or bright ballroom.
✂️
Costumes & Makeup
Bring characters to life through fabric, colour, and design. Help the cast transform into who they need to be the moment they walk on stage.
📱
Marketing & Media
Promote the show, document the journey, and build the audience. Real skills in content creation, design, and promotion — before the curtain even goes up.

Always in the action

When you aren't working on a scene, our staff runs structured activities, theatre games, and team-building challenges. No dead time — only momentum.

Google Classroom updates

Parents and students always know the plan. We post exactly what we're doing each week in Google Classroom so there are zero surprises.

Possible Productions

We partner with Music Theatre International — the gold standard in theatre licensing — so students perform with the same scripts and arrangements used on Broadway, tailored for youth voices.

📚
Matilda The Musical Jr.
An extraordinary girl with a sharp mind and vivid imagination takes a stand against the cruel adults in her life to change her own destiny.
🏀

☂️
